Honestly, dressing for success is great. But, it can get really annoying to constantly wear cute outfits that are too tight, make you sweat, or are just plain uncomfortable, just to look like you’re happy to be out in society. Fortunately for us, it really doesn’t have to be that way. Putting together outfits that have style (and don’t make you want to run home to your sweatpants) is actually really simple. There are just a few things you need to keep in mind when choosing your day-to-day looks.
Go with the Flow
If you’re not super into tight outfits (which...is completely understandable), try to pair a form-fitting element with a looser one. A flowy blouse loosely tucked into a pencil skirt or skinny-jeans, is a combination I generally use. But you can also consider the more form-fitting tops in your closet, and pair them with some flared pants.
Wear Something Light
I love blazers as much as the next person, but sometimes they can be a little much on a casual day. Hence, why I’ll go for a lightweight blazer if I’m looking for a more casual, comfortable fit.
There are so many styles to choose from, and are great if you’re looking for a little more movement in your office-wear.
Layer Up
One thing I really find uncomfortable is when an outfit becomes too hot or too cold during the day, and there’s nothing I can do about it. The best way to prevent this is to layer your look. After choosing your base outfit, look for other elements you can add (such as a sweater, jacket, vest, scarf, etc.). This will not only add more visual interest to your outfit. But, it will also give you a lot more flexibility.
I’d love to see your OOTDs, so feel free to tag me on Instagram @adri__b_ so I can give them some ❤️❤️❤️
